By the turn of the new year Coach Zela “Zoom” Langwa had finished his stint at Halifax Wanderers and was looking for a new challenge in his sporting career. In collaboration with his close friend and business partner Antonious Assaad, an ex-pro and PT himself, they launched a new phase of the Ottawa Selects program - a program dedicated to bringing in talented youth and turning them into professional prospects through intense weekly soccer training, dedicated fitness and physio programs, and seasonal opportunities with professional teams.

I was responsible for following the players’ journey from the beginning of the year to the end of the pre-season period that culminated into two games against Halifax Wanderers in Halifax during the CPL pre-season.
